Karen Lorraine Bahr

Karen Lorraine Bahr, 56, of Yale, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 6, 2021, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.
She was born May 24, 1965, in Port Huron, the daughter of Frederick and Elsie (Malfait) Hamlin.
Karen was a 1983 graduate of Port Huron High and continued her education with an associate's degree in law enforcement. She was employed by Mueller Brass Co, Port Huron, for 22 years as a security guard. Karen most recently started working in home health care and memory care where she tended to the elderly at an assisted living facility. Karen has a big heart for helping everyone around her. She was musically and artistically inclined. Karen enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing, and embroidery. Karen's newest hobby was raising bunnies and honey bees with her fiancé, Todd. The most important thing in Karen's life was her family. She cherished the quality time she spent with them more than anything.
Surviving are four children, Henry, Ryan, Katherine Bahr, and Olivia Bahr-Sweet; a granddaughter, Elayna Bahr-Teets; long-time partner and fiancé, Todd Sweet; her father and step-mother, Frederick and Lynn Hamlin; sisters, Diane Maples, Tina McComas, and Sandy Halifax, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elise Hamlin.
