Bak, Karen R., was born on February 19, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to Edward and Virginia Wolney. Karen, who resided in Dearborn, Michigan, passed away on April 29, 2025 at the age of 74. Devoted wife of John (for 39 years). Loving mother of John (Kathy) Bak Jr., Jennifer Feld, Trisha Lashchuk and Kristen (Damon) Garcia. Dear sister of Edward and Ronald (Carol) Wolney. Dearest grandmother of Amanda, Tim, Noah, Rebecca, Brenna, Reagan, Eric and Dominic. Loving great-grandmother of Eli, Everly and Andi. Karen was preceded in death by her parents. Also survived by many other loving family and friends. Karen loved to paint; she loved animals of every kind and was a fanatic Red Wing Fan.
Visitation Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 23701 Ford Road. (313) 278-5100. In state Monday 12:00 noon with a 12:30 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection to follow at Church of the Divine Child, 1055 N. Silvery Lane, Dearborn. Donations may be made to Divine Child Parish.
