Karen P. Benschoter, age 76, of Adrian, MI, passed away, October 10, 2025, at The Toledo Hospital. She was born July 14, 1949, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Clifford & Ethel (Mayes) Baker. Karen worked as a cook at the Rock Inn in Adrian, also at Boysville in Macon and then retiring from the Tennessean Truck Stop where she was the head cook. She is survived by her step-children, Laurie (James) Black, Leeann Benschoter, Brian Benschoter, and Nicholas Benschoter, her grandchildren, Brandon (Sierra) Benschoter, Brittany (Justin) Brown and Kendra McCord; two great grandson, Calvin Benschoter and Braydon Benschoter; two brothers, Terry Baker and Rance (Judy) Baker. She was preceded in death by her son, Jaime Benscoter; her parents, Clifford and Ethel Baker; one sister, Janice Collins; and three brothers, Wayne Baker, Glen Baker, and Richard Baker. Funeral Services will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Jamie Driskill officiating. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
