Wanda Jane Kruse

MORENCI – Wanda Jane Kruse, age 91, of Morenci, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Hampton Manor in Adrian, under the loving care of Optimal Care Hospice. She was born in Morenci on May 2, 1934, to the late Clyde McCoy and Sylvia Christeen (Livingston) Hall. Wanda graduated from Morenci High School. On April 7, 1956, she married Carl H. "Shady" Kruse in Morenci, and he preceded her in death on July 1, 2019. She owned Morenci Bookkeeping and Tax Service until 1985, at which time she went back to school for nursing, obtaining her LPN License. Wanda worked for Dr. Magbanua in Waldron and Dr. Shetty in Morenci until her retirement.
The love of Wanda's life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid bowler for over 30 years, coached summer softball, and was instrumental in forming the women's softball league in Morenci. As a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Morenci, she also led the Pioneer Girls at church.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Timothy (Julie) Kruse, Karla (Edward) Bowen, and Deborah (Matthew) Jacobs; grandchildren, Kyle, Travis, Valerie, Landan, Kaitlyn, Jodi, Joe and JP; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Hall. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Robert (Shirley) Hall, Roy Lee (Fern) Hall, and Ray Hall.
Visitation for Wanda will be held at Marry Funeral Home – Morenci Chapel, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM until time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Rev. William VanValkenburg will officiate, and interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
