Karen Sue Calkins

Karen Sue Calkins, age 80 of Painesville, passed away on October 24, 2025 at her home. She was born February 28, 1945 to the late Carl and Lulu Pettit. Karen was a homemaker. She loved her animals, music (especially Elvis Presley and the song "Footloose"), she also enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives, and Tremors; crocheting, wood working and dancing. Karen is survived by her sons, Donald Calkins Jr., Ronald Calins; daughter, Sue Calkins; sisters, Joan Barnes, Jenny Pettit; sister-in-law,Retta Henry; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Calkins Sr.; daughter, Debbie (Brown) Calkins; son Timothy Calkins; granddaughter, Karen S. Calkins; sisters, Jane Pettit, and Betty Pettit; brothers, Jack Pettit, and Sonny Pettit; brother-in-law, James Calkins; and sister-in-law, Harriet Bruner.
