Karen K. Durden, age 74, resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 18th, 2025, in Mobile. Karen was born on August 8th, 1950, in Mobile, Alabama. She was a graduate of Theodore high school in 1968 and worked in veterinary medicine for 20 plus years and years of volunteer work at animal rescues. Karen was an avid member at GUMC church and was a long standing member who's faith in Jesus Christ never wavered. Karen loved spending time with family, her pets, and Alabama football. She was loved by many and never met a stranger.
Karen is preceded in death by: her father, Harry Kollin: her mother, Julia Kollin: her brothers, Donald Kollin, Charles (Diane) Kollin and Henry Francis Kollin.
She is survived by; her son, Drew (Renee) Durden: her daughter Jennifer (Sean) Carroll. Her brother: Robert (Pam) E. Kollin. Her grandchildren: Amanda Durden, Karen (Gabriel) Buckalew, Layne Tillman, Courtney Bosi, Connor Tillman, Jacob Durden. Her Great- Grandchildren: Molly Durden, Theodore and Alexander Buckalew.
A memorial service for Karen Durden will be held on Friday March 28th, 2025, at 2:00 P.M; at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Garry Williams, pastor of Grace Global Church officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday March 28th, 2025, from 1:00 P.M to 2:00 P.M.
Pallbearers: Sean Carroll, Gabriel Buckalew, Ryan Kollin, Connor Tillman, David Townsend, Matthew Hoffman Sr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aide for Animals (Betsy Haas).
