Karen Kaye Harrison, age 79, of Marceline, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of July 23, 2025. Karen was born on September 16, 1945, in St. Catharine, Missouri, to Ira Roy Ogle and Clara (Banning) Ogle. She was a proud graduate of Brookfield High School and went on to work many years at Walworth, dedicating herself to the factory industry with hard work and integrity. Karen was a woman of deep faith and an active member of First Baptist Church in Marceline. She volunteered regularly at the local food pantry and was always willing to lend a hand at her church. Her hobbies brought joy to both herself and others-she loved sewing, quilting, cross-stitching, and especially spending time with her family during picnics and get-togethers. Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Gail Dean Harrison, on April 27, 2001; her parents; one son, Ronald Harrison; one brother, James Ogle; and two sisters, Doris Faubion and Margaret Ogden. She is survived by her son, Terry Harrison of Bucklin (formerly of Marceline), and many friends, church members, and neighbors who will miss her kindness, warm spirit, and unwavering devotion to those around her. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Delaney Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Brian Baker. Visitation will take place that same morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Karen will be laid to rest at Laclede Cemetery in Laclede, Missouri. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to First Baptist Church of Marceline, the American Cancer Society, or the Animal Shelter of Linn County. Her legacy of love and generosity lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Karen Kaye Harrison, please visit our Tree Store.
