Karen Sue Wilson Hartronft (70) passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born April 6, 1954, in Spring Grove, Indiana, to John and Mary (Lockhart) Wilson. Karen married her beloved Brad Hartronft on October 10, 1975, in Oklahoma City, sharing nearly 49 wonderful years until his passing just nine weeks before her own. Karen's Christian faith was important to her, and she received the blessing of eternal life in Heaven.
A 1972 Putnam City Highschool graduate, Karen dedicated over 35 years to the dental field, as an Office Manager. She retired after an illness and enjoyed a successful career. She cared deeply for her patients and always attempted to place her patients and team of employees before herself. She had a servant heart.
Karen was a devoted mother who loved her family more than life itself. In her free time, she found great joy in life's creative pursuits. She had a particular passion for arts and crafts, loved losing herself in a good book, and delighted in classic Hollywood films. But, above all, she treasured holiday gatherings with her family, making each celebration memorable with her warm presence and attention to detail.
Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brad Hartronft, and her parents, John and Mary Wilson.
She is survived by her son, Brian Curtis Hartronft; daughter, Lauren Hartronft Linduff; granddaughter, Madeline Boggs; brothers, John Wilson and wife Susan (Ice) and Philip Wilson; sister, Kathy Gold, and husband Mike; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her gentle spirit.
A Celebration of Life service honoring Karen and Brad will be held on Saturday, December 14th, at 2:00 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, OK.
