Karen Sue Imhoff, 80 of Royalton, passed away at 1:20 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at her daughter's residence.
Karen was born December 11, 1942 in Herrin to Kermit and Margaret (MacKenzie) Perrine. Karen married James Gary Imhoff on July 8, 1960 in Shawneetown, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2020.
Karen was a 1960 graduate of Royalton High School. She attended John A. Logan College where she received her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) degree. She later was also a cosmetologist and had her own beauty shop for several years. She was a member of the Royalton Christian Church.
She enjoyed making wood crafts and attending craft shows with her husband and sister. She enjoyed traveling and going on vacations. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren
Survivors include her four children, Eric Imhoff of Royalton, James (April) Imhoff of Marion, Shannon (Jim) Switzer of Herrin and Amy (Michael) Bevis of Royalton; nine grandchildren, Alexis (Tyler) Henry, Blake Bevis, Brandon Bevis, Tyler (Gauge) Bevis, Kassy (Bill) Archer, Jesse Switzer, Skyler Imhoff, Nate Imhoff and Jacob Imhoff; eight grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Betty Nix.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the Vantrease-Pyle Funeral Home in Royalton with Jerry Minton officiating. Interment will follow in Miners Cemetery in Royalton.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Royalton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Royalton Christian Church or to the Miners Cemetery. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
