Karen Lee (Gulbranson) Jorgenson, age 83, of Clearbrook, Minnesota, went to be with her Heavenly Father on October 15, 2025, at the Cornerstone residence in Fosston, Minnesota.
Karen was born on October 4, 1942, in Bagley, Minnesota, the daughter of Gilmer and Helen (George) Gulbranson. She grew up on a farm in rural Leonard, where she learned the values of hard work, family, and faith that guided her throughout her life. On July 25, 1959, Karen married the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Jorgenson. To this union, three children were born.
Karen worked for over 40 years at the Good Samaritan Center Nursing Home, where her dedication, strong work ethic, and caring nature touched the lives of many. She was a devoted member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook. Karen loved country music and was well-known for her baking, especially her homemade buns and the cakes she always had ready for anyone who stopped by. She enjoyed embroidering, ironing, and keeping a tidy home. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in caring for her grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, and the love she shared so freely. Karen was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Mike) Luggar of Leonard, Minnesota; sons, Jeffrey (Jane) Jorgenson of Clearbrook, Minnesota, and Jonathon (Jessie) Jorgenson of Pinewood, Minnesota; grandchildren, Jason (Susan) Luggar of Leonard, Minnesota; Katy (Landon) Schmit of Fargo, North Dakota; Jana (Jacob) Ringstad of Clearbrook, Minnesota; Colton Jorgenson and Kyra Jorgenson, both of Pinewood, Minnesota; and great-granddaughters, Kaydence, Miya, Charley, and Aubrey.
She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Solberg of Clearbrook, Minnesota; Sharon Lang of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Alice Cassibo of Bagley, Minnesota; Sandra (Rich) Dombeck of Hawley, Minnesota; Nancy (Byron) Edevold of Bagley, Minnesota; Tammye (Mike) Cleveland of Kansas; her brother, Gary Gulbranson of Eagan, Minnesota; and sisters-in-law, Clarice Rolling of Abbington, Virginia; Bonnie Gulbranson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Linda Gulbranson of Bagley, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chuck; her parents, Gilmer and Helen; beloved grandson- Joshua Jorgenson; brothers Gilmer Gulbranson, Bob Gulbranson, Steve Gulbranson and her sister Laurie Hanson and other cherished family members.
A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at the Silver Creek Cemetery in Clearbrook, Minnesota.
Karen will forever be in the hearts of her family and will be missed, until we meet again. Blessed be her memory.
