Karen Ring Obituary

Karen Ann (Meyer) Ring, age 70, of Elysian, MN, passed away on January 8, 2023, in Lehigh Acres, FL.
Karen was born in Albert Lea, MN, on November 20, 1952. Karen is survived by her husband of 46 years, Daryl; children Amy, James (Katherine) and Molly; and grandchildren Natalie, Paige, Morrigan, Alexandra and Mary.
Karen was passionate about gardening and maintained several beautiful flower gardens at her home. She was especially fond of the birds and butterflies that visited her gardens, and she spent her summers enjoying the outdoors tending to her flowers. Karen was creative and loved to sew, crochet and make embroidered gifts for her family and friends. Her handmade ornaments decorate her family and friends' Christmas trees all over the country. She was a skilled baker and was well known for her homemade cookies, baked desserts and rosettes. Karen also enjoyed traveling with her family and visiting places that included Minnesota's North Shore, Alaska, Canada, national parks in the Western US, tours throughout the Northeastern US, and spending time in Florida.
A celebration of Karen's life will be held at 2pm on Thursday, March 16th, 2023, at the State Street Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral Home located at 711 N. State Street, Waseca, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Karen's memory to Camp Sweet Life in Madison Lake, MN.
