Karen Lenett Tasker, born on August 14, 1964, in Oakdale, Louisiana, was a beacon of love, loyalty, and compassion. She was a woman of integrity, upholding her Baptist faith with conviction and humility. As a testament to her virtue, Proverbs 31:25-26 often comes to mind, "Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue." Karen Lenett was a living testament to these verses, radiating warmth that touched all the souls she encountered.

Known for her adventurous spirit, Karen Lenett's life was a vivid tapestry of experiences. She charmed the tables as a casino dealer, combining her innate people skills with an astute business sense. Her passion for life was infectious, spreading joy in her bowling club, on cruises, and at bingo games. She was an active member of the Seven Star Chicks, her girl friend circle and Sister Strut of Memphis, TN, where she contributed to their annual Breast Cancer walks. Karen Lenett's adventurous spirit was matched only by her compassionate heart. She attended numerous cancer charity events, reflecting her empathetic nature and her desire to make a difference.

Karen Lenett was a woman who lived for her family and friends. Her love and dedication to her loved ones were evident in her roles as a loving mother to Joseph (Ada) of Venus, TX, and Jeremy Jones of Oak Grove, KY; a caring sister to Sonya Barnes and Jerome Barnes Jr of Oakdale, LA, a doting grandmother to Jaila Jones of Venus, TX, and a beloved aunt to Michael, Terry, and Peyton Barnes; and Justin and Brayden Wade all of Oakdale, LA. She was the daughter of Lee Esther Jones and the late Jerome Barnes, Sr., whose memory she cherished. Her absence leaves a void that will never be filled but her legacy of love, loyalty, and compassion will continue to live on.

Friends and family are invited to a public viewing and visitation on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Miller & Hill Oakdale Chapel, 2285 Hwy 165 North, Oakdale, Louisiana, 71463. We encourage everyone to share memories and upload photos of Karen Lenett to her memorial page as a celebration of her remarkable life. May her soul rest in peace and her spirit continue to inspire us.
