Karen Vornkahl, age 70, long-time resident of Chicago, passed away Sunday morning, January 12, 2025 with her brother at her side. Born September 25, 1954, she was the beloved sister of Paul Vornkahl.
Karen was a world-traveler, but especially loved her trips to Greece. She worked at Orba for over 40 years as a receptionist, where she made many friends. She will be dearly missed.
Family and friends to meet for Funeral Service 12 p.m. Noon on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Holy Transfiguration Chapel in Elmwood Cemetery, 2905 Thatcher Ave., River Grove. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Muzyka & Son Funeral Home. I am thinking about my dear friend Karen today. We met through work and quickly became great friends. We had so many fun times together. We also saw a lot of bands together, especially Todd Rundgren. I know you are in a better place now and I am sending my love.
