Karl R. Frasier, 50, of Johnstown, departed this earthly life on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
Often referred to as the best Mother's Day gift ever received, Karl was born to the late Lynne C.
(Ackerknecht) Frasier on Mother's Day, May 14, 1972, in Gloversville, NY.
Karl was a 1990 graduate of Johnstown Senior High School. From there he carved his own path,
going on countless adventures and making life-long friends everywhere he traveled. Later in life,
Karl followed in his mother's footsteps, and realized his calling working for The ARC
Lexington, finding considerable pride and purpose in all facets of his work, especially providing
care to his "Gentlemen" with whom forged a special bond.
An avid nature lover, Karl found great peace spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking,
and just admiring the awe-inspiring beauty surrounding him. He was a talented artist and had a
true passion for music. Karl found immense pleasure in sharing the experience music brought
him with others. He often would "speak" through music, sharing the perfect song to convey what
he was feeling or what a person needed to hear. Karl was an exceptional, self-taught, musician,
bringing great joy to those who had the privilege to hear him play.
A free spirit, with an enormous heart, quick wit, and a compassionate soul, Karl made friends
easily and they quickly became family, instantly enveloped in the love and kindness he exuded.
NFA.
Karl treasured his family, especially his cherished mother, Lynne, and his brother, Michael,
whom he looked up to and respected immensely.
Karl is survived by his devoted siblings, Michael Frasier of Johnstown, Alex Stewart of
Johnstown, and Stacy (Snyder) Waner of Port St Lucie, FL; loving uncles, Louie Ackerknecht
(Pam), Gary Ackerknecht, and Terry (Deb) Ackerknecht, all of Johnstown and Tom Russo of
Gloversville; his beloved aunt, Sylvia Cheney of Johnstown, and his pride and joy, his 11 nieces
and nephews and great-nephew. He is also survived by several dear cousins.
In addition to his mother, Karl was predeceased by his aunt, Donna Lampman.
A Celebration of Life in Karl's honor will be held on Saturday, September 10th, 2022, at the
family home located at 782 North Bush Rd, Johnstown, NY.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown NY.
