Karl Dean Hassel Sr., age 88 of Plain City, Ohio passed away on August 20th, 2023, at his residence. Karl was born on October 17th, 1934, in Rushsylvania, Ohio. Karl was a graduate of Rushsylvania High School. He was a faithful and active member of Crusade Bible Church in Plain City. Karl was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. Karl is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Minnie Hassel (Clark), his wife Carolyn R. Hassel, daughter Susie Snyder, two grandsons Trevor and Christopher and a sister in law Wanda. Karl is survived by his children Karl (Denise) Hassel Jr. of Reynoldsburg, Linda Hodge of Plain City and Chris Hassel of Dublin. Karl is also survived by his grandchildren Trenity (Kenny) Allen, Chanda Hodge, Cameron (Kayla) Hodge, Kendrick Hodge, Taylor Hassel, Kylee Hassel, DeAntre Hassel, Danielle (Shawn) Bray, Joey (Allison) Snyder; great grandchildren, Leah Allen, Layla Allen, Laynee Allen, Lamar Allen, Lauren Allen, Xavier Hassel, Karmine Hodge, Braxxton Hodge, Frankie Hodge, Kobe Hodge, Ella Gray, Trisha Fox, Tristyn Fox, Kaiden Snyder, Addy Sue Snyder; great great grandchildren, Kalin Fox.
A visitation will take place on Friday August 25th, 2023, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Ferguson Funeral Home 202 East Main Street Plain City, Ohio 43064. A Memorial Service will follow at 7 PM. Ferguson Funeral Home is honored to care for the Hassel family.
