TECUMSEH-Karl Cecil Huff, 46, formerly of Tecumseh, died unexpectedly from cardiac arrest due to pericardial effusion on Saturday evening, April 19, 2025, at ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital in Adrian. He was born October 4, 1978, in San Diego, CA, the middle child of Mark and Helen (Williams) Huff. He slipped away from this world with his father and mother holding his hands.
Despite the challenges of his mental illness, Karl grew into an extremely kind and compassionate man. He was loved by his family, friends, and the people he shared his life with at his group home. He will be greatly missed. A Star Wars fanatic, he is now at one with the Force.
Surviving is his mother, Helen Huff (and Rusty Sayles) of Tecumseh; father, Mark Huff (and Annette Dupuis) of Tecumseh; brothers, Alexander Huff of Tecumseh, and Mark "Tony" Huff of Ypsilanti; and the beloved staff and residents at the Pathlight group home in Adrian. Karl was preceded in his death by his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Alice Williams; and his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Carletta Huff.
Cremation will take place. A celebration of Karl's life will be hosted on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 1-8 p.m. at the Raisin Community Center (3266 Gady Rd., Adrian).
Memorial contributions in honor of Karl are suggested to benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
