Karl Arthur Marriott was a man whose life was a testament to the virtues of love, loyalty, creativity, and generosity. Born on July 31, 1934, in Brigham City, Utah, he was a beacon of light in the lives of everyone he encountered. For 55 vibrant years, Karl made Ogden, Utah his home, where he touched many lives with his enduring warmth and smile. Karl's loyalty and dedication were as sturdy as the wood he sculpted into award-winning projects. He was a boiler engineer at Hill Air Force Base for 42 years. Karl's creative spirit found joy in hobbies that also served others - woodworking, ceramics, Dutch oven cooking, and carpentry. His gardens were a testament to his nurturing soul, and his love for hunting, camping, and river rafting showcased his adventurous spirit. Karl was a scout leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His caring and generous heart inspired him to care for his neighbors and community. Karl was an example of great strength and generosity in every aspect of his life. He is survived by his loving wife, RaLayne of 58 years. He is also survived by his children: Wayne, Laura, Randy, Dena, Wendi, Elizabeth & Rebecca, 11 grandchildren,16 great-grand children and sisters, Dorothy Taylor and Arlene Hales. Karl is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Zina Marriott, sister, Marva Mason and son-in-law Gary Tanner. His legacy of love and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
