Karol Wasik

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Karol Wasik, a cherished resident of Rutland, VT. Karol departed this world peacefully on the evening of June 25th, 2025, at the age of 64. Her passionate spirit and unwavering kindness will forever be remembered by her family and community.
Karol was a devoted mother to her three sons: Michael, John and Bryan Raiche. Her love and dedication to them were unmatched, and she always prioritized their happiness and success. Karol's legacy of selflessness extended beyond her immediate family, as she was known for her acts of kindness and generosity.
Karol opened her home and heart to international students from various countries, providing them with a nurturing environment and a second family. Her warmth and hospitality left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her role as a mother and host, Karol was a familiar face at all of "her sons'" sporting events, where she volunteered tirelessly.
Karol had a deep passion for upholding her rich Polish heritage through the art of cooking. Her kitchen was often filled with the delightful aroma of homemade delicacies. She took great joy in making pierogies, golumpkis, and chruscikis alongside her children and grandchildren. These moments in the kitchen were more than just about cooking; they were about passing down traditions, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories. STOLAT!
A funeral service to celebrate Karol's life will be held in her childhood town of West Rutland at Saint Stanislaus Church on July 12th at 11 a.m. Following the service, a gathering will take place at the church, where family and friends can share memories and offer comfort to one another.
She will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
