Karon Kay Hoover, 82, Twelve Mile, passed away at 12:35 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Parkview Logansport Hospital.
Born December 13, 1942, in Fulton County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Vern Montro and Dora Ellen (Wilson) Dillman. On November 11, 1961, in Fulton, Indiana, at the United Methodist Church, she was married to Raymon Edmond Hoover, and he preceded her in death on March 25, 2019.
Karon graduated from Fulton High School. She was a longtime member of Twelve Mile United Methodist Church and had attended Fulton Community Church for the past few years. Karon retired as a bank teller at Community State Bank; she had also been a bookkeeper to many businesses over the years. She enjoyed helping her boys whether doing books or bringing meals out to the field during planting and harvesting seasons.
Survivors include her two sons, Doug (Melanie) Hoover, Kewanna; Darryl (Valerie) Hoover, Twelve Mile; grandchildren, Kegan (Tori) Hoover, Monica (Carl) Davis, Kendall (Chris) Meyer, Trevor (Megan) Hoover, Haley Hoover, Hanna (Brent) Shafer; step-grandchildren, Adam (Ashly) Berry & Hali (Allen) Ingram; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Hoover, Rosalie Hoover, Jameson Hoover, Addison Davis, Cameron Meyer, Gavin Meyer, Sunny Hoover, Carter Shafer; step great-grandchildren, Gigi Berry, Rowan Berry, Lynnly Berry, Kayson Ingram; and sisters, Carol Wray, and Janet Gunter; sister-in-law, Rosalee Ratliff; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymon; sisters, Betty Rogers, Marilyn Craft, Joan Landis, Joyce Marburger, Letta Goodman, Judy Ladson; and brother, Vern Dillman; brothers-in-law, Ross Hoover, Sam Hoover, and Don Ratliff; and sisters-in-law, Roberta Hoover, and Barbara Hoover.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Pastor Roger Knebel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Twelve Mile Fire Department or the Twelve Mile Community Building.
