Linda D. (Brown) Heins, 73, Rochester, passed away on October 6, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne

Born December 11, 1951, in Rochester, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Omer Louis and Ethel Mae (Hansen) Brown. She was married on February 2, 1973, she was married to Jerry L. Heins, and he preceded her in death on August 22, 1980.

She was a graduate of North Miami High School and a lifetime member of the Rochester Moose Lodge. She had worked at Windy City Fireworks, Reynolds Windows in Bourbon, and Talma Fastener. She was an animal lover who was especially fond of her cats. She could sit outside and enjoy nature, listening to the birds, relaxing, or just feeling the breeze. She enjoyed playing games on her phone, overcoming her aversion to technology.

Survivors include her one daughter, Sara A. Reyes, Rochester; her bonus daughter, (cousin) Rochelle Powell, Rochester; one brother, Jim Brown, Peru; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her husband’s siblings, Mike Heins, Patricia Greer, and Linda Bradway.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved cat, Tuney and brother-in-law, Ed Heins.

A time of visitation with the family will be from 2-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver.
