Karon "Sue" (Withers) Vallee
May 6, 1949 – November 6, 2025
Karon "Sue" Vallee, 76, of Canton, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025.
She was born May 6, 1949, in Fairmont, West Virginia to the late William G. Withers Jr. and Gloria E. (Williams) Withers. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Gary E. Vallee; her sister Sandy Dodd, whom she missed dearly every day, and her great- grandson Cylis.
Sue and Sandy shared a lifelong, unbreakable bond – more than sisters, they were best friends. What a joyous and beautiful reunion it must've been when Sue entered heaven's gates, walking the streets of gold, greeted with open arms by Sandy, her precious great-grandson Cylis, her husband Gary, and all the loved ones who went before her. No doubt Sandy had the confetti ready, joyfully celebrating her sister's arrival. The laughter, love, and peace they now share together reflects the same warmth Sue brought to everyone she met on this earth.
Sue was survived by her children, Stacey (Vaughn) Parker, Lynsey (Ben) Kelly, and Kevin E. Vallee; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she affectionately called her "lambs", Brothers, Bill (Stephanie) Withers, Don (Lisa) Withers, and her nephews, who she loved dearly; along with her best friend of over 60 years, Carol Shaffer, whom she met on her first day of freshman year at Timken High School.
Sue worked as a beautician and later at Green Intermediate and Green High School. She enjoyed reading, spending time at the beach, and making memories at the little house on the TN farm, where countless moments of laughter, love, and family togetherness were shared. She loved to travel and was always up for an adventure, finding joy in new experiences in the people she met along the way. She also loved watching Ohio State football games on Saturday afternoons, cheering on her Buckeyes with enthusiasm.
Sue's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children deeply and unconditionally, and they loved her beyond measure. Her love was steady and selfless, a constant source of comfort, laughter, and strength. She would never have wanted to leave her "lambs" behind, but her family finds peace, knowing that her love remains wrapped around each of them – strong, gentle, and everlasting. She also leaves her "lambs" with countless beautiful memories that forever warm their hearts and remind them of her love.
She was a devoted member of City Church AC and will be remembered for her joyful heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with everyone. She is now rejoicing in Heaven, happy to be with her Savior, and she leaves behind the blessed hope that one day, they will all be reunited again.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nurses at Altman Hospital, especially those in the MICU and Step-Down Units, with special gratitude to Nurse Jack on the MICU Unit for his exceptional care, compassion, and kindness during Sue's final days.
Sue's light – and love she shared with her family and friends – will continue to shine in the heart of all who knew and loved her.
Now she's walking the streets of gold, reunited with her loved ones and hearing the words: "Well done, good and faithful servant enter into the joy of your Lord." Matthew 25:23
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 10:00 am to 12 noon at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 12 noon. Interment will be in East Liberty Cemetery.
