Kasey M. Ramthun

With profound sorrow, we announce the loss of our beloved Kasey M. Ramthun, who passed away on December 13, 2024, at the tender age of 17 due to a tragic car accident. she was born in Marshfield, WI on March 14, 2007, the daughter of Chad and Amanda Ramthun. Kasey was a beacon of inspiration, ambition, and talent in her community. She was the epitome of love, lighting up every room she entered with her infectious smile and sassy wit. Kasey was not just a student at Lincoln High School, she was a dedicated friend, a determined competitor, and a remarkable artist that touched the lives of everyone she met.
Kasey was a multifaceted force of nature. As an active FFA Member, she showed an impressive dedication to Highland Cows. Her talents were many and varied; a skilled bladesmith who competed in Forged in Fire Contests in Tennessee, an accomplished musician, and an incredible artist. Her artistic prowess extended into the literary world as a published poet, showcasing her gift for capturing the human experience in her verses. Kasey also enjoyed volleyball. But above all, what mattered most to Kasey was her love for animals and her cherished role as a loving and loyal daughter, granddaughter, and friend.
Kasey is survived by her parents, Chad and Amanda Ramthun, and her brother, Logan. She leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, grandparents, godparents, and cherished friends who will miss her deeply. including her grandparents, Arnie and Wendy Bendickson, Brian and Roselyn Ramthun and Nancy Swan; aunts, Ashley (Kyle) Turner, Autumn (Matt) Hall, Alison (Jared) Snortheim, Monica (Dustin) Braun, Bobby (Val) Salloway, William Salloway; god-parents, Laurie (Ross) Wahl and Brian Burk; best-friends, Katelyn Koth, Faith Fuehrer and Jack Ladick, who since childhood, they had such a close and special friendship they were always together, when you saw Kasey, Jack was usually there as well. special family friends Joe (Kayleigh) Harless, John Kilty and her second mom Earlynda Redmond and adopted grandma, Liz Turner. She is further survived by many other relatives and numerous friends and her faithful cat Grey Bear.
Kasey was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, LaVine and Carrie Shortell, Paul and Dorothy Ramthun, Lawrence and Carol Bendickson and Doug and Peggy Swan.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 4:00pm CST at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 2201 Chestnut Street, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, 54494. Another visitation will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 9:00am CST at Bethany Lutheran Church, 6900 Swedish Road, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, 54495. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same venue at 11:00am CST. The service will be live streamed at https://my.gather.app/remember/kasey-ramthun.
Memorials may be made in Kasey's name for a fund to be established.
