Kathe Marie Borgman

Kathe Marie (McLean) Borgman, 68, passed away peacefully at I.U. University Hospital in Indianapolis on the morning of July 7, 2025. She was born in Indianapolis on April 17, 1957, to Esther (McKinney) McLean and the late Edwin McLean.

Kathe is remembered as a happy person, never without a smile on her face. Her sunny disposition and easy-to-please demeanor gained her many friends. After graduating from Newcastle High School, Kathe earned her bachelor's degree in marketing at Ball State University. Her strong work ethic enabled her to have a long and successful career in the graphics industry. She had a passion for flea markets and thrifting, always looking for that perfect piece of furniture to repurpose or add to her farmhouse collectibles. Kathe also enjoyed traveling, whether to the gulf coast of Florida, Michigan's beautiful beaches, or upstate New York. But by far, her favorite destination was the Oregon coast. And Kathe was a cat lover, already terribly missed by her beloved cat Crook.

Left behind to cherish Kathe's memories are her husband, Mike Borgman; her mother, Esther (McKinney) McLean; stepchildren, Cassie, Haley, and Chris; sisters, Cindy (Dan) Bradfield and Elaine McLean; brother, Stephen (Susan) McLean; nieces, Casey Chambers and Kayla McLean; nephews, Ryan (Jammie) Huddleston and Jake Hillyer; and great nephews, Conner Huddleston and Max Huddleston.

Kathe is preceded in death by her father, Edwin McLean.

Funeral services for Kathe will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waymansville. Rev. Erik Sorenson will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Kathe will be laid to rest immediately following at Waymansville Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremations Services, Seymour.
