Katherine (Kitty) Marie Byrd, 72, of Churchton, Maryland, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025.
Kitty was the heart of every gathering, known for her humor, warmth, and vibrant spirit. She truly was the life of the party. She cherished time spent with her family, especially trips to Ocean City, cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events, and trying her luck at the slots at Rod 'N' Reel. Kitty was always the first to help those in need.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Byrd; her son Justin Byrd and his wife Amy; her daughter Alicia Pulanco and her husband Chris; and five beloved grandchildren: Caleb, Virginia, Micah, Shelby, and Sadie. She also leaves behind her sisters, Patty Canavan and Kathy McCarthy, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie Moore.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at Hardesty Funeral Home in Galesville, Maryland on Saturday May 17, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Interment will be private. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
