Katherine Ann Dalme

Katherine Ann Dalme passed away on October 31, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born on January 3, 1955 to T.C and Willie Mae Chapman Dalme in Natchitoches, LA. 

Katherine was known for her kindness, warmth, and infectious spirit. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel at home, embodying the saying, "never met a stranger." Those who knew her well understood that if she liked you, she loved you profoundly; however, if she did not care for you, she made her feelings known. Katherine, affectionately known as "Kat", was a resident of Natchitoches Community Care, where she formed many lasting friendships with both fellow residents and staff members over the years. Her lovable nature and genuine interest in others left an indelible mark on the hearts of those around her.

She is survived by her sister, Carolyn LaCaze (Patrick); her nephews, Charles Gourdon, Raymond Gourdon (Lisa), Kevin Gourdon (Tracy), Kelly Gene Gourdon, and Shane LaCaze (Robyn); her niece, Tina Poche' ("C.E." Carroll, II); as well as numerous great nieces and great nephews who will cherish her memory.

Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, T.C. and Willie Mae Chapman Dalme; her grandparents, Willie and Mary Chapman, and A.J. "Buck" and Eva Dalme; her sister, Elaine Gourdon (Gene); and her nephew, Colton Todd.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home located at 848 Keyser Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jose Pallipurath of Holy Cross officiating. Burial will follow at Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery, located on Hwy 495 in Cloutierville, LA.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Cody Gourdon, Justin Gourdon, Thomas Gourdon, Shane LaCaze, Kelly Gourdon, C.E. Poche',II, Patrick LaCaze, Dalton Poche', and Mavryk LaCaze. Honorary pallbearers will be Dakota Poche', Kross LaCaze, Bubba Dalme, Kenny Dalme, Raymond Gourdon, Charles Gourdon, Kevin Gourdon, Richard Gourdon, James Dalme, Alton Dalme, and Buddy Cannon.

The family would like to thank Natchitoches Community Care and Hospice of Natchitoches for their love and gentle care shown to Katherine.
