Katherine M. Eckholm, age 81, passed away at her residence in Menasha, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, with her family by her side. On August 22, 1943, in Neenah, Wisconsin, Katherine Mary was born one of eleven children to Raymond and Marion (Spice) Boushley. Growing up in Neenah with her many siblings, allowed her to develop her spitfire personality. Kathy had met Ernest "Ernie" Eckholm and they were united in marriage on October 10, 1964 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. They enjoyed spending time together raising their three children and traveling many times to Vegas. Kathy had worked for a short time as a bartender at the Wheel Inn, but was well known for her many years of employment as a Drive-Thru clerk at McDonald's in Darboy, affectionately being called "Ma" by many of her staff and customers.
Kathy devoted her life to her husband, children, and their families, and loved watching her family grow.
Kathy will be greatly missed by her loving children: Tina Eckholm, Scott Eckholm, and Jodi (Howard) May; her grandchildren: Alisha, Cole, Taylor (Lexi), Ashlee, Brandi (Allyn), Timothy "TJ" (Kristin), and Sam; her three great-grandchildren: Elye, Margot, and Rose; her siblings: Joe (Linda) Boushley, Debbie (Phillip) Schneider, and Lee Boushley; her in-laws: Sue Boushley, Lee Catron, Doug (Kathy) Eckholm, David (Lynn) Eckholm, Jane (Dennis) Grahn, Mary (Dale) Bejger, Clarence "Buck" (Alison Saunders) Eckholm, and Patty Eckholm; as well as many other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Susie Boushley, Jimmy Boushley, Bonnie Fulcer, Gary Boushley, David Boushley, Barb Catron, and Corrine Boushley.
Kathy's wishes were to have no services held.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at ThedaCare at Home Hospice, especially, Bonne, Lexi, Kathleen, Haley, Stephanie, and Chaplain Ben, for all of the loving care and kindness shown to Kathy and her family.
