Katherine Lee Farrow, 72, went to be with her Lord and savior on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at her home in Bethany, Oklahoma. She was born on January 24, 1953 in Loraine, Texas to William and Verna Charlene Ryan. She graduated in the top of her class at Odessa High School. She then went on to attend Bethany Nazarene College where she met her husband, Floyd Keith Farrow. The two were promptly engaged and then married on May 27, 1972 in Odessa, Texas. They welcomed their only child, Aaron, in January of 1982.
Kathy worked several jobs in and around Oklahoma City including in the finance department and nursery for Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. Her husband Keith was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 1981. This led Kathy to become the sole provider for her family, settling into her lifelong career as an accountant for the City of Oklahoma City. She went on to pass the Certified Public Account (CPA) exam and worked as a CPA for the city until her retirement, all the while faithfully and gracefully serving as a caregiver for Keith. At the same time, she and Keith started an arts and crafts business which led them to various craft shows in the region. After retirement, Kathy devoted her spare time to being a superstar grandma. Her grandchildren were her world! She loved teaching them piano and music theory, playing games, teaching them about Jesus, reading Bible stories, having makeup parties, playing Barbies and was their biggest cheerleader at innumerable baseball, t-ball and football games.
Kathy's family recalls her having a beautiful singing voice, excelling in math and being a talented pianist. She loved Christmas, bright floral patterns, collecting and shopping. She loved helping others. She never met a stranger and often made friends in Wal-Mart checkout lines. She gave her life to Jesus at an early age and lived a lifetime of wholeheartedly trusting and following the Lord.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Verna Charlene Ryan, and her husband, Keith. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Ashley Farrow of Edmond, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Jackson (12), Brayden (9) and Adelynn (7); her siblings, Linda Haney of Odessa, Texas, Cindy Voyles and her husband Ronnie of Odessa, Texas and William Ryan of Magnolia, Texas; her cousin, Nancy Scheiern of Bethany, Oklahoma; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins.
We are so thankful to have shared in a life so well lived.
Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Thursday, 1pm-8pm, with family present from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, 10:00am, at Mercer-Adams Chapel. The service will be livestreamed and may be viewed on this obituary page.
