Clara Gwendolyn Gibson, 96, passed away on August 20th, 2025 in Fort Worth, TX. She was born June 12th, 1929 to Alvin and Lillie McConnell in Cox City, Oklahoma.

Clara married Robert Gibson on June 12th, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

After graduating from Oklahoma A & M, now Oklahoma State University, she went to work as an interior decorator. She loved cooking and gardening, and dabbled in oil and watercolor painting. She also loved spending time with her family and doting on grandkids and great-grandkids.

Clara was very active in her church, including teaching four-year olds for 60 years and singing in a lady's ensemble. In 2014 she reconnected with an old high school sweetheart, Richard Seitter. They were married for almost seven years before his death in February of 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert, her beloved husband of 57 years; sister, Clema Broughton; brother, Alvin McConnell, Jr.; and sons, Robby and Charles Gibson.

She is survived by daughter, Sandy Coy and son-in-law, Terry; granddaughters, Lindsey Durham, Meagan Wells and husband Patrick; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Landrie, Gentry, Gibson, and Alice; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 30, 10:00 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK.
