Katherine Johnson, a beautiful soul, went to be with her Lord on June 9th, 2025, after a long and courageous fight with cancer. She was a loving wife and mother with a passion for helping others in her church, her family, and her community.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; son, Keith (Joanna); daughters, Kara Prickett and Amelia Johnson; grandchildren, Lyla, Henry, Indigo, Avery, and Leo; eight sisters; six brothers; and dozens of nieces and nephews.
Her legacy of caring will continue.
A celebration of Katherine’s life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11 A.M. at the First Congregational Church with Pastor Adam Droscha officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home.
