Katherine Lynn Lyons Weatherford, 70, of Wendell, NC, passed away January 2, 2025, at her home. She was born September 18,1954, in Camden, New Jersey, to the late Lloyd Lyons and Katherine Lynn Martino Lyons.
Katherine had a passion for cooking, and she spent countless hours in the kitchen perfecting her craft, creating meals that brought comfort and joy to her family. As a homemaker, she took great pride in caring for her loved ones, and her nurturing spirit will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to experience it. Her warmth, kindness, and dedication were felt by everyone who knew her.
Katherine is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Glenn Weatherford; son, Steven Gaetani (Alyssa); daughter, Katherine Storey (Herb); brothers, James "Yam" Lyons (Big Pat) and Ralph "Cramden" Lyons (Betsy); sister-in-law, Judy Lyons; and grandchildren, Katherine Graziano, Phillip Mahran, Sophia Mahran, Steven Gaetani, Michael Gaetani, Anthony Gaetani, Nicholas Gaetani, Matthew Gaetani, Christian Gaetani, and Leo Gaetani. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Will Lyons, David Lyons, Johnny Lyons, Bill "Fats" Lyons, and Bobby Lyons.
