Mrs. Katherine Sexton Samson, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on November 8, 2024. Katherine was a devoted wife to Dave Samson for 54 years. She was deeply committed to her family, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. Katherine had a gift for hospitality, always welcoming friends and family into her home with warmth and generosity. She always had room for one more at her table.
Katherine retired from the Animal Medical Center and, earlier in her career, was co-owner of Dairy Mart in Kingston, TN. She was an active member of Whites Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and playing cards in her free time. Katherine was an amazing grandmother to her five grandchildren, leaving her family with countless cherished memories.
She was preceded in death by:

• Mother: Ruby Gaylardo
• Grandmother: Ella Gibson
• Brother: Clarence Sexton
She is survived by:
• Husband: Dave Samson of Rockwood, TN
• Daughters:
• Nikki (Justin) Reed of Westmoreland, TN
• Lori (Jason) Holt of Dawsonville, GA
• Grandchildren:
• Katherine Holt
• Joshua Holt
• Isaiah Reed
• Andrew Holt
• Eli Reed
• Brother:
• Tom Sexton
• Sister:
• Sheila Koelber
• And many special nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
The family will have a celebration of life Friday, November 15, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Whites Creek Baptist Church. A service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Britton officiating. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Katherine Sexton Samson.
