Our beloved one, Katherine Lynette Watson, departed this earthly life to enter into her eternal life on August 24, 2025.

Katherine, affectionately known as "Kitty or Ms. Lucy," was born on June 27, 1954, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Graham and Gladys Owes.

Kitty was educated in the Norfolk public school system, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School, where she was a part of the drill team. She used to jokingly say she was always going the opposite way from all the other girls. Kitty also attended Kees Business College, where she earned a certificate in management information systems. Kitty was a hairstylist by trade in her early career. She also worked in the daycare field. Her most recent employment was with Sentara Enterprises as a medical records clerk. She retired from Sentara in 2016.

Bowling was one of her favorite things to do, as well as playing bingo and going to the casino once in a while. My other sister would say you can't win with scared money. She would say, "Well, my money is terrified!!!"

Her memory will be forever sketched in the hearts of all who loved her, and we will be comforted by the fact that she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior early in her life.

Katherine was preceded in death by both her parents and three of her siblings, Evangeline Edmonds (van), Alvin Owes (Peter), and Beverly Porter (Belp).

Her memory will linger and be cherished in the hearts of her siblings, Winston Owes (Judy), Kaye Owes-Pittman, and Doris Owes, and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as some very special friends.

We remain inspired by her strength and love for her family. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten!
