Paying tribute to someone is never easy but when it comes doing it for one of the kindest, most loving people on the planet, it seems insurmountable. Kathleen "Kathy" Mary Allen made friends with everyone she came in contact with. Whether that be the employee at the local fast-food restaurant who she saw almost everyday when she ordered her diet Coke, or the checkout person at the grocery store, or her lifelong friend that she still kept in contact with, to her daughters' friends who all called her Tiny Mom.
Kathleen "Kathy" Mary Allen, 64, of West Allis, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
Kathy was born in Hempstead, New York in 1959 and then moved to Madison, Wisconsin with her parents, James Andrew Burns and Mary Augusta Burns. She married the love of her life, Todd Mark Allen, on December 29, 1979 and together they shared 44 years of adventures, including Todd being in the Air Force and moving between Biloxi, Mississippi, Duluth, Minnesota and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They moved to the Milwaukee area in 1983 and made it their home for the last 40 years.
She loved being around her family and her granddaughter, especially her granddaughter's songs about the tasks in daily life, was one of the main reasons for the smile on her face each morning. She loved watching the Kentucky Derby and she would wear her fancy hat and drink her mint juleps while watching a day of racing.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Todd Allen, her daughters Rachel Allen (Rob), Bridget Gragg (Wes), her granddaughter Raylen Gragg, her brothers Brian Burns (Jan) and Dennis Burns, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, 4:00 PM – 6:45 PM. Funeral Service at 7:00 PM.

Kathy and my lives had several opportunities to intersect. From our growing up in Madison, her father´s clothing store and both of us working at Kemper Clearing. We didn´t meet until I came to BETA. Then we hit the ground running. We had a lot of fun, non stop talking about life experiences and our families. She always made me laugh. A God fearing woman with a fierce love for her family. My heart goes out to her family with my sincere condolences to all of you. She will live on in your hearts and memories. Whenever I think of her I smile and look to the heavens. I know she´s there, watching over all of us.

I am heartbroken that we have lost Kathy. She was such a bright light, so funny and smart and caring. I know this a huge loss to her family and friends and to her BetaNXT work family. But it is also a huge loss to those of us at all the firms who were privileged to work with her and get to know what a special person she was. I am holding all who grieve for her in my heart with prayer.

Not my first but one of my strongest memory of Kathy and Todd... when she brought Bridgette in her carrier... she was a premie.. she told me about the struggles of a premie... She knew God .I don´t know or understand why God called her to be with him. I know even when her health was heavy she brought strength forward for her family .She loved them deeply.I know her prayer for Todd Rachel Bridgette and all of us that knew her...Find comfort in Gods love , lean into him for strength as we step forward knowing he is always with us therefore so she will be to! "Kath" as Todd would call... often would say "God Bless" she knows him. In honor of her may we bring Kathys spirit to life in those words. Each time we hear it .. each time we say itTHANK YOU KATHY FOR SHARING YOU LIFE WITH MEGOD BLESS

Tiny Mom:)
Tis the season as Kathy loved Feliz Navidad....she loved it even more when Miss Rachel's many classes of 2 year old would excitedly scream "Feliz Navidad", into the phone, when it came on <3
