Kathleen E. Carson

Age 80, passed away in the comfort of her home with family at her side on Saturday, January 10, 2026 following declining health. Born on August 27, 1945 in Westfield, PA; Kathleen was the daughter of the late, Clair and Anna Hryczyk Brown. She is survived by her loving family, husband and companion, Clare W. Carson; children, Darren (Sue) Copp, Todd Hilfiger, Frances (Eric Gee) Horton and Alyssa Carson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a brother, Charles Brown. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Pat Lampman, Rose Copp and Mary Gardner. Kathleen's interests included gardening in her flower beds, playing games, especially Yahtzee and doing puzzles. Kathleen enjoyed caring for and watching the neighborhood birds and hummingbirds. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway Elmira/Southport, NY 14904 on Monday, January 19, 2026 between the hours of 12 (noon) – 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:15 p.m. Burial will take place in Brookland Cemetery at a later date.
