Kathleen M. Diffley

Kathleen “Kate” Diffley, 78 of Providence RI, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at home on May 6, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Kathleen graduated from Central High School. She worked for many years at Allendale Insurance Company. She later worked at Dennis Diffley Drain Services until her retirement.

Kathleen was an avid reader and belonged to two book clubs. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the senior center.

Kathleen is survived by her partner of over 30 years, Frederick Carlucci, her sister Patricia Carpenter of Cranston and her sister Colleen Achin and husband Mark Achin of Providence and her brother Timothy Diffley. Kathleen leaves several loving nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was predeceased in death by her parents Kathleen and James Diffley, brothers Dennis, Terry, Michael, Kevin, Daniel and beloved niece and nephews Dawn Carpenter, Louie Diffley, and Jamie Diffley. 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday May 21, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, at the Nardolillo Funeral Home. Her funeral will leave from the funeral home at 9:00 am followed by her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 234 Regent Ave., Providence, RI. Inurnment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
