Kathy Hahn, age 80, passed away on April 2, 2024 at AngelsGrace Hospice after a short battle with cancer surrounded by her loving husband, Jim, and her family. 

She was born in La Crosse, WI on January 25, 1944 to Gretchen and William (Bill) Manke. On July 30, 1966, Kathy and Jim married. They were blessed with two children, Peter and Kristine. 

Kathy was a devoted and active member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Waukesha since 1976. She worked 28 years as the office manager there and participated in Bible studies, helped with Altar Guild, and sang with the Adult Choir. 

Her passions included cooking and baking, hosting small dinner parties, playing cards and games, traveling, and enjoying a good novel. She was a sports fan of the Badgers, Brewers and Packers. Kathy was most happy when she was spending time with family and especially her six grandchildren.  

Kathy is survived by her dear husband Jim Hahn; son Peter (Wendy) Hahn, Aurora, CO; daughter Kristine (Rob Beuthling) Hahn, Monona, WI; grandchildren: Sydney Hahn, Joel Hahn, Elsa Beuthling, Hugo Beuthling, Kate Beuthling and Rose Beuthling; brother Roger (Sara) Manke, West Salem, WI; sister Karla (Philip) Johnson, Holmen, WI; sister Karen (Roger) Utnehmer, Wausau, WI and other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Kathleen Hemauer, the nurses and staff at UW Health Cancer Center at ProHealth Care, and the nurses and staff at AngelsGrace Hospice.

Visitation for Kathy will be held on April 20, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at Ascension Lutheran Church (1415 Dopp Street, Waukesha, WI  53188). A funeral service and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Ascension Lutheran Church/Endowment Fund or Ascension Lutheran Church Music Ministry, 1415 Dopp Street, Waukesha, WI  53188.
