Kathleen Eunice Johnson, a beloved resident of London, Kentucky, was born on August 29, 1937, in Schenectady, New York. She was the cherished daughter of the late William Schorpp and Frances Gallagher Schorpp. Kathleen was united in marriage to Norman C. Johnson, who survives her in London.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her six children: Shirley Brooks and husband Derek of Charlotte, North Carolina; Kimberly Burris and husband Dean of Cornelius, North Carolina; Deanna Turk of Corpus Christi, Texas; Norman Curtis Johnson, Jr., and wife Patricia, Larry Johnson, all of London, Kentucky; and Sharen Bowling of Lily, Kentucky. She is also survived by her sister, Debra Schorpp of Georgia, eighteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her siblings, Ken Schorpp and Lonnie Brennan.
Kathleen was a dedicated homemaker and a proud veteran of the United States Army. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Kathleen Eunice Johnson departed this life on March 29, 2025, at the age of 87 years and 7 months.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Friday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Dean Burris officiating. Burial will follow in the Rough Creek Cemetery in London.
The family will receive friends beginning at 11 am Friday until the funeral hour of 1 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.
