Johnny Lee Boone

Johnny Lee Boone, age 80, of London, Kentucky passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Phyllis Caudill Boone; his son, Brian Boone of London, KY; three grandchildren, Brianna Boone, Logan Boone & wife Makena, Jonathan Boone; two great grandchildren, Mason Wagers, Blair Boone; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Lucy Vivian Bruner Boone; and by seven siblings, Billy D. Boone, Danny Boone, Carl Boone, Waymon Boone, Bernice Harrison, Verlene Leon, Irene Burke.
Johnny was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. A self-employed mechanic, Johnny had a lifelong passion for cars - from building race cars and restoring classics to spending countless weekends at the track. His skill, dedication, and love for engines were matched only by his devotion to his family. His children and grandchildren were truly his life, and he took great pride in every moment spent with them.
Johnny was a people person who enjoyed being social and never met a stranger. His evenings were often spent visiting with his cousin Tony Bruner and friends, Doc LaBore, sharing laughter and good stories. Saturday mornings were a favorite time for Johnny, when he would stop by the car lot to visit his longtime friend Gary Cromer.
Known for his big heart, hard work, and easy smile, Johnny leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service honoring Johnny Boone will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Terry Mitchell and Roger Hayre officiating. Interment will follow at Dunn Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 30, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. The pallbearers will be Chris Clemons, Craig Boone, Mike Caudill, Tony Bruner, Kenny Boone and Jimmy Boone.
