Geneva Webb Hicks, age 90, of London, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
She leaves behind two children, Nadine Rush & husband Bobby, Darrell Hicks & wife Tina, all of London, Kentucky; six siblings, Vasco Webb & wife Marlene of London, KY, Edith Schweitzer of Hamilton, OH, Vanda Schott of London, KY, Lana Weaver of Granbury, TX, Lena Webb of Falling Waters, WV, Arvin Webb & wife Yolanda of Annville, KY; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Egleston of London, KY, Jenny Sue Webb of Annville, KY; six grandchildren, Heather Bowling & Jerry, Holly Evans & Steven, Brice Hicks & Mackenzie, Mackenzie Hicks & Blake, Braxston Hicks & Rachyl, Blaise Harville; eight great grandchildren, Jade, Bradyn, Justin, Lilly, Landyn, Greyson, Grady, Jack; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Hicks; her parents, Estill & Emma Jones Webb; her son, Bruce Hicks; and by two siblings, Alvin Webb of Annville, KY, Zella Mae Hicks of Hamilton, OH.
Geneva was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a retired employee of American Greetings Co., where she took great pride in her work and enjoyed the fellowship of her coworkers. Geneva was known for her strong work ethic and cheerful spirit that brightened the lives of those around her.
In her spare time, Geneva loved to crochet and make quilt tops-each stitch a reflection of her patience and care. She especially loved spending time at the ballfields and competitions, cheering on her grandkids with unwavering support. Always up for a road trip, she enjoyed every opportunity to make memories with her family and friends.
Geneva was known for her fairness and generosity-she made sure her gift giving was always equal, showing her deep love for everyone without favoritism. Her family was her heart, and she treasured every moment spent together.
A faithful member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Geneva's faith guided her life and shaped the kindness and warmth she shared with others. She will be remembered for her loving heart, joyful laughter, and the many ways she showed her care for all who knew her.
A funeral service honoring Geneva Webb Hicks will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Trent Pool officiating. Interment will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 beginning at 5:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Brice Hicks, Mackenzie Hicks, Braxston Hicks, Bradyn Evans, Justin Bowling, Jerry Bowling and Steven Evans. Honorary pallbearers are Landyn Evans, Greyson Hicks, Grady Hicks and Jack Hicks. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
