Troy Byrd, age 68, of Manchester, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
He leaves behind four children, Jason Byrd & wife Martha of Manchester, KY, Krystal M Himes & husband Harvey of Manchester, KY; Vanessa Cushman & husband Jake of Waco, KY, Jenifer Feltner & husband P.J. of Richmond, KY; fourteen grandchildren, Jaylynn, Tbone, Kara, Alaina, Andre, Tiffany, Megan, Shelby, Breanna, Terry, Josh, Mercedes, Donna, Makayla; plus a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie Edwards Byrd; his parents, Robert & Bessie Davidson Byrd; his son, Troy Eugene Byrd; and by seven siblings, Reba Bishop, Gilbert Byrd, Brackie Byrd, Bernard Byrd, Kennis Byrd, Earl Byrd, Morris Byrd.
Troy Byrd, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A self-employed truck driver, Troy took great pride in his work and enjoyed every mile of the open road.
When he wasn't driving, Troy could often be found fishing, boating, or spending time outdoors. He loved being with his family and especially cherished his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. Troy was also a devoted member of his church and found great comfort and strength in his faith.
He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, kind heart, and the way he always made time for those he loved most. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
A funeral service honoring Troy Byrd will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Pastor Wesley Fugate officiating. Interment will follow at Byrd Family Cemetery in Manchester, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
