Kathleen Knue

Kathleen Knue of Cleves, passed away on July 19, 2024 at the age of 85. She was one of six children and grew up on a farm in Indiana. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in Oldenburg, IN and worked part-time as a bank teller for many years. She met Don Knue at a church festival and they married on May 30, 1960 and were married for 62 years until Don's passing in 2022. Don and Kathy were blessed with four children, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Don and Kathy did everything together and Kathy was usually keeping him under control. Kathy was an active and supportive mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved reading, doing word puzzles, watching sports, and most of all spending time with her family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Knue; parents: Alois and Marie (nee Bruns) Schwegman; sister: Lucille (Don) Weiler; brothers: Ben (Judy) and Walter (Sally) Schwegman; brother-in-law: Ralph Harmeyer.
Kathy leaves a legacy of love with her children: Diane (Dennis) Martini, Gary (Kim) Knue, Mark (Anna) Knue, Karen (Wheat) Alder; beloved grandchildren: Amy (Blake) Zimmerman, Ryan Martini, Megan (Imran) Anwar, Scott (Ashley) Alder & Julie (Nick) Colvin; cherished great grandchildren: Alyssa Knue, Gavin Newman, Peyton Zimmerman, & Brynn Zimmerman. She is also survived by her siblings: Bernice Harmeyer and Wilfred (Linda) Schwegman and numerous nieces, nephews & extended family.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Aloysius On the Ohio, 1618 Portage Street, Sayler Park on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 11 am. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Old Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
