Kathleen May

Kathleen May, age 74 of Raccoon, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She was the heart of her home and always put her family's needs before her own. She was a generous and humble person and deeply devoted to her family. One of the things she enjoyed most was attending gospel concerts at the Mountain Arts Center when she was able.
Kathleen was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on January 31, 1951, a daughter of Earnest Roy Luster and Judy Thacker Luster.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Lloyd Luster on July 14, 2022 and a nephew, Kris Luster.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard May and three sons, Ricky Wayne May of Raccoon, Kentucky, Robert Allen May (Ning) of Milton, Kentucky and Nathan Shane May (Tiffany) of Raccoon, Kentucky and a bonus daughter, Donna May of Kimper, Kentucky; three sisters, Cherith Ann DeRossiers (Pierre) of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Teresa Kinzer of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Delena Adkins of Raccoon, Kentucky and sister-in-law Lana Luster of Raccoon, Kentucky.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Miranda Collins (Joey), Heather Griffith (Eli), Hayleigh May, Natalie Conn (Cody), Britney May, Braxton Gillespie and Luca May and four great-grandchildren, Caleb Collins, Zoey Collins, Oaklynn Conn and Rhett Conn.
Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana, Kentucky.
