Kathleen E. Perry

Kathleen E. Perry (Norris), 94, those who knew her called her Kay passed on May 14, 2025 after a long battle with Dementia and a two year stay at the JML Nursing Home in Falmouth.
Kay lived most of her life in Falmouth or Mashpee, growing up on Jericho Path in Falmouth Heights. Kay was born on June 17, 1930 in Middleboro, Massachusetts.
She married Thomas Bradford Perry on November 27th, 1954 at the First Congregational Church in Falmouth. Unfortunately, Brad died in 1979 leaving Kay a widow for the last 45 years.
One of Kay's first jobs was with the Boston Edison Electric company, she went on to become a bookkeeper for Saltmarsh's Department Store in New Bedford. Later she maintained the books for Brad's Chiropractic Practice.
Kay and Brad had a summer cottage on Seconsett Island, Mashpee, MA. The summer cottage turned into Edgewater Cottages with summer rentals available. The cottages were run as a family affair, Kay and Brad running the business for so long that eventually there were four generations of one family returning each summer for over 20 years. Kay loved to keep the cottage gardens pristine and always kept a watchful eye from the beach of guests and children swimming, consequently she always had a great tan during the summer.
Kay leaves her son, Steven D. Perry DC and his wife Kathy A. Perry, of Clarence, Iowa; her daughter, Janet A Craythorn and her husband Simon Craythorn, of Mashpee; two grandchildren, Bryce A. Perry and Abigail J. Perry; a step-grandchild Kristina L. Barth; four great-grandchildren, Kinsley R. Perry, Kamden W. Perry, Caeden J. Atwater and Maddilynne K. Keegan.
She was predeceased by her three sisters, Irene MacDougall, Gwendolyn Panton and Carol Gagnon and her two brothers Bernie Norris and Philip Norris.
Services are private and final resting place will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Falmouth, MA.
