Kathleen Elizabeth Schreiber

Kathleen Elizabeth Schreiber (née McKiernan), of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 16, 2025.

Born on November 11, 1946, in Syracuse, New York, Kathleen was the daughter of John and Margaret McKiernan. She grew up in a close-knit family and carried the values of love, resilience, and devotion throughout her life.

Kathleen shared a long and loving marriage with her husband, David Schreiber. Together they built a life centered around family and enduring connection. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Jennifer Reilly (Brian) and Amy Ryan. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Shane Reilly, Emma Reilly, and Aidan Ryan.

She is also remembered with love by her brothers, John Patrick McKiernan (Rosemary) and Brian McKiernan (Nancy); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Michael McKiernan.

Kathleen's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Compassus Hospice Care, especially Joyce, Gina and Diane.

Kathleen's warmth and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Covenant Funeral Service, 10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg VA 22408.
