Kathleen was born in Perth Amboy, NJ to the late Olga Hennessy on July 31, 1949.
She graduated from high school in 1966 and began her career as a Leasing Consultant for an Apartment complex on Gill Lane in Iselin, NJ. In her spare time, Kathleen was an avid bowler and canasta player.
Kathleen is predeceased by her husband, Ronald M. Tanko and her brothers, Tommy and Billy Hennessey.
Kathleen is survived by her five sons: Michael Tanko (wife Mona) of Huntington Beach, CA, Paul Tanko (wife Marisa) of Stockton, NJ, Allen Tanko of Greenbrook, NJ, John Tanko of Farmingdale NJ, and Ronnie Tanko (wife Melanie) of Henderson, NV and her grandchildren: Emily, Grace, Joseph, Christine, Anthony and Jake.
A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 8:45am to 9:45am at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 200 Cooper Ave. Iselin, NJ 08830 followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Cecelia's at 10:15am.
Cremation will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in her name.
