Kathleen M. Vigre

Kathleen Mary Vigre, age 61, of Bluffton, SC died Wednesday, October 28, 2025, only six days after her loving mother, surrounded by her loving family at Coastal Carolina Hospital. 

Born on August 23, 1964, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. Vigre and Joan M. Kasold Vigre. She preferred to be called Kathy or Katie. Kathy had various health issues starting at the age of 14 and had more health issues than 10 people! Despite her health issues, she never let it destroy her spirit. Anyone that met her said she had a kind soul. She was the reason that her mother had lasted as long as she did after the passing of her father. Kathy was a devoted member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and was active in LAOH. 

Kathy is survived by her sister, Karen A. Cefferillo (Dave) of Easton, NY, her brother, Kevin R. Vigre (Jenny) of Waxhaw, NC, her niece, Rachel Vigre, her nephew, Zach Vigre, and her aunt, Patricia K. Larkin of N. Massapequa, NY as well as cousins and friends. 

The family will be receiving friends in a joint service for Kathy and her mother, Joan, from 10 am – 11 am, Saturday, November 15, 2025, with a funeral mass to immediately follow at 11:00 am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC, 29909. Interment will follow at the Columbarium on the Church grounds. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude’s Children’s Research, or Special Olympics SC Area 8.
