Kathleen Zboray, a cherished soul, left this world peacefully on June 18th, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on February 12th, 1947, at East Orange General Hospital, Kathleen's life was a testament to her faith, love, family and community. She lived her final days with her wishes respected at Jersey Shore Medical Center, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family and her unwavering faith.
Kathy's journey was marked by significant milestones that shaped her into the remarkable women she was.
A proud graduate of New Brunswick High School in 1965, Kathy immediately attended Berkeley school for legal secretary in 1966. Her dedication to her career advanced to a public notary of Middlesex in 1973 marked by integrity and commitment.
In 1967, she married the love of her life, Steve C Zboray Jr. and together they moved to Jackson, NJ, in 1974, where they bought their first home-a symbol of their shared dreams and hard work.
Kathleen's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She remarried in the Church of St. Aloysius in 1977, renewing her vows and her commitment to her beloved husband, Steve.
Her family was her greatest joy, and she was a devoted wife and loving mother to her daughter, Jennifer Zboray and her son, Steven Charles Zboray, III, his wife Kristi and her three cherished grandchildren Steven Charles IV, Emmah Gracelee and Jake Carter. Her sister-in-law, Mary Metros and her nephew, Nicholas Metros. Kathleen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Steve Charles Zboray, Jr. and her son-in-law, Josh Hall. Her love for her family never wavered.
In the community, Kathy was a beacon of kindness and service, actively participating in the Elks Lodge in Jackson for many years. Her selflessness, caring nature, and devotion to her family were admired by all who knew her. Kathy's life was guided by her pure soul, kindness, her organizational skills, and her punctuality, qualities that endeared her to many. She enjoyed for many years camping, traveling with her family, cooking family dinners, holiday cookies and birthday cakes. She took great pride in her home and gardening.
A devout Christian, Kathy was actively involved in Grace and Peace Church and dedicated in her faith which was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and nurturing her spirit.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 3-5 PM with her funeral service at 5 PM on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd. Jackson, NJ. Kathy is survived by her daughter Jennifer and son Steven, who carry forward her legacy of love, faith, and service.
In closing, Kathy's faith continues to inspire us with her words of, "Keep God in your heart; He will guide you day by day. Call to Him when He is needed; when He is near, you will find your way. Praise and thank Him every day. Always live by the 'Golden Rule'".
Kathy's gentle spirit and unwavering faith will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Kathy and Steve were two peas in pod. Steve and I worked together for over 30 years at Pine Belt Chevrolet . Sovv bei got to know Jathy very well. We went on a trip to Ireland together, it was here my wife and I learned who was really on charge in their marriage . Kathy let him think he was in charge but it was actually she who was in charge . These two people had beautiful hearts very loving and caring about all people . Kathy was a wonderful mother , wife and a great cook with a very good sense of humor. I believe she was the rock of this family . She was also a loyal friend . We will miss her as I am sure the family will . Kathy and Steve were so proud of their children and Grandchildren . They lived for family and helping others . At least now they are together once again . May they rest in peace
