Kathryn Elizabeth Bruner, 56, of Aurora, IN, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025.
She was born on January 26, 1969, in Boston, MA, the daughter of the late Ron Malott and Rose (Tumolac) Bellinger.
Kathryn dedicated many years of service as a General Manager at Pizza Hut, where she found joy in serving others. Her vibrant personality and love for people made her a natural in the role-she truly loved her job and the connections she built through it.
In her free time, Kathryn enjoyed knitting and created beautiful blankets, clothes, and pillows. She had a passion for diamond art and was an avid Barbie collector. She also loved trips to the gambling boat and spent many hours watching her favorite shows, including WWE, The Big Bang Theory, and The Walking Dead.
Kathryn cherished time spent with her family-whether dining out or simply being together. She was a devoted mother to her boys, a loving and supportive wife to Donald, and adored her grandchildren deeply.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald E. Bruner; sons, Justin Bruner of Milan, IN, Matt Bruner of Dillsboro, IN, Tyler Malott of Aurora, IN, Derick (Brandon) Bruner of Aurora, IN, and Daniel Bruner of Aurora, IN; grandchildren, Cici, Abby, Rosie, Sophia, Lilah, Conner, Beau, and Nova; siblings, Alfredo (Kim) Tumolac of Monroe, OH, Chris (Cindy) Malott of Fairfield, OH, Alicia (Eric) Tumolac of Cincinnati, OH, and Rhonda (Jimmy) Safford of GA; step-sisters, Rebecca Malott and Rachael Malott; and mother-in-law, Sheryl McAdams.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ron Malott, and her mother, Rose Bellinger.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana. A service will follow at 7:00 PM, officiated by Lawrence Brightwell.
