Kathryn Ann Chambers

Kathryn Ann Root/Welch/Chambers, 55, originally from Milton, Vermont, and a longtime resident of Orange City, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Kathryn's work was her true passion. She spent nearly her entire career in childcare, where she poured her heart into caring for children and supporting families. Over the years, her love, kindness, and unwavering dedication touched the lives of countless children, families, and coworkers. Her patience, compassion, and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Beyond her work, Kathryn found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved taking scenic drives through the mountains of Vermont, spending peaceful days relaxing at the beaches of Florida, and shopping she could turn a quick trip to the store into a full-day adventure - and somehow still forget the one thing she went for. Kathryn's strength, compassion, and beautiful spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
She leaves behind two daughters, her parents, two sisters, and two brothers. While her passing leaves an empty space in our hearts, we find comfort knowing she is finally at rest and free from pain.
A Family hosted Celebration of Kathryn's life will be held in private with family and close friends.
