Kathryn "Kathy" Adamson Covington passed away after a short illness on Monday July 15, 2024. Kathy was born on March 21, 1956 in American Fork to Dewey "Dub" Adamson and Eloise Shields Adamson. She married Ronnie J Covington on March 14, 1975. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple.
Kathy grew up in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1974. After graduating from Nursing School, She worked at the Utah State Developmental Center for 30 years before retiring.
Kathy loved camping at Easter with her family and spending Christmas Eve together. Kathy was an avid reader and loved reading the hardcover best seller books of her favorite authors.
Kathy was a fantical BYU Football fan.
Kathy and Ron built a house in Lehi in 1977 and that is where she lived for the rest of her days.
She is survived by her husband Ron Covington, Lehi, three daughters, Jan Covington, Lehi, Jill Covington, Lehi, Jenny Covington-Mellor, Lehi. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Rikki (Jaden) Klempel, South Dakota, and Tristan Mellor, Lehi and her fur babies Autumn, Tobi, Athena, and Isley. Sibling Dennis (Marty) Adamson, sisters-in-law Ann Adamson and Joann Adamson. She is also survived by her many brother and sister in-laws from the Covington family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Kenneth and Blanche Covington, her brothers Don Adamson and Myron Adamson, sister in-law Lisa Adamson and her brothers in-law Kay Covington and Dick Covington, nieces Season Schramn and Heaven Covington and several much loved fur babies.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday July 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lehi City Cemetery 1100 North 400 East Lehi, Utah.
The family would like to thank the Mountain Point Medical Emergency Room Staff and the Med-Surg Staff and the Lehi Fire Department Stations 81, 82, and 83.
